Almonte Steelers, sponsored by Golder Associates came within an ace of winning the Almonte Touch Football League championship last Sunday at Gemmill Park when they dropped an 8 – 7 decision to Stan’s Packers. Today memories of hardware stores thanks to the scrapbooks of Lucy Connelly Poaps Stewart Lee–Did you know the biggest mirror they ever caught was 10sq feet in size with curved sides- It ended up being attached to a large dresser. Another big thing at Lee Pro Hardware was screen repairs for for forgetful pets who can’t remember there was a screen:)

Hi Linda. I wasn’t sure how to send you a message through the tales of almonte. Here’s a pic of my dad Garry Davis formerly of almonte used furniture and Gordie Lee of Lee Hardware the year the BIA hosted a pumpkin carving contest. I don’t have the year unfortunately.
