In Memory of Stuart White of Carleton Place

Across the street from my home The White family have been a fixture on Campbell Street in Carleton Place for years. Stuart and Joyce have always been good friends, and my family was heartbroken when Stuart passed away a few years ago. He and my late husband shared the same birthday, and always managed to slip in some conversation during the week.

Stuart passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the age of 76. In an almost ironic twist of fate almost a year later my husband passed away in 2014. I would like to think the both of them are chewing the fat up there somewhere, and when I found these pictures of Stuart today in the 1969 Carleton Place Canadian in the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum files I had to post it.
