Apple Pie,
What a wonderful treat,
With a flaky crust
And filling so sweet.
Baked in the oven
Three-fifty degrees,
Then there’s a ding!
And it’s ready to please.
Smells like cinnamon
And sugar and spice,
“Where’s my piece?”
“I want a slice!”
One tasty bite
And you’ll want more;
As you sink in your teeth
Your spirits will soar.
A sweet, warm hug,
As pretty as snow,
Apple pie is the best,

After the contest and the winner was called,
For 2 bucks a slice,
This piece of apple pie was all yours,
I sighed and I heaved, and had not one ounce of glee,
Because alas, you see, there was no gluten-free!!
“Yes she is my apple pie and the love of my life.”
The annual pie contest is this Saturday, September 19th at the Carleton Place Farmer’s Market
Bring your pie for ten am this Saturday Sept 19th to the Carleton Place Farmer’s Market
You can either email cpfarmersmarket@yahoo.ca to register or heck, if you can’t preregister just get it there for ten am Saturday.
IT CAN BE ANY FLAVOUR OF PIE– It doesn’t have to be apple!
And the grand prize is fifty dollars to spend at the market There will also be someone teaching the kids to make mini apple pies…and that is free too, and they can just drop in and do it! Fun for the whole family this Satuday at the Carleton Place Farmer’s Market!
