I love these fungi mushrooms and when Mark said he had seen some at Roy Brown Park I asked him to photograph them. Humour me please. 🙂 Roy Brown Park is located behind the MVCA office and is owned and maintained by the Town of Carleton Place. It currently features 0.5km of well-groomed walking trails and an off-leash dog park.

Learning about our local parks Joanne Henderson told me about this small unused park in the Pattie Drive/ Joseph Street. Yes, there is Hendry Farm Park, but here we have this well maintained oasis in the middle of the neighbourhood that few knew was a town park. It has no name, and it is so well hidden many of the neighbours don’t even know about it. But, it is very accessible from Joseph Street if you know where to look and there is no infringement on other people’s properties.

This park was procured for the area years ago, but was never developed. It could be a little bit of Shangra- la for this area that needs our love and support. I think this could be a wonderful addition.. stay tuned..  Thanks Joanne– I am learning..:)
