Ultimate Sticky Toffee Pudding
Please note that I am not related to anyone in this establishment. It is all about promoting our local area.
Let’s be perfectly clear that I have Celiac disease and am not supposed to go ten feet near this creature of sweet luxury. However, sometimes me and my colon have to come to some sort of agreement. So that truce comes once in awhile at Ballygiblins in Carleton Place for their “Sticky Toffee Pudding”.
The exact origins of this popular dessert, a combination of dates, brown sugar, and toffee sauce, may be in dispute, but it’s undoubtedly British and undoubtedly delicious.
Their cake is moist and delicious, and once your tongue rolls around the first creamy bite I guarantee you – you and your large load rear-end-chassis will benefit from each morsel. You don’t need to go to Ottawa to experience fine dining, believe me. Only thing I would suggest is doubling the sauce, but we are quite greedy with our sauce.
Tip of the hat and my waistline to Ballygiblins!
A review I saw on Tripadvisor.ca

Great location on the main drag in Carleton Place. Friendly service, great value, delicious food! The menu is large and has a bit of something for everyone. Fantastic vegetarian options (the curry is amazing!)
