Thomas/Tom Sloan was once the owner of the Queen’s Hotel but he was also an inventor. I don’t think this idea of a baby-walker took off but it should be documented. Read-The Rules of the Queen’s Hotel in Carleton Place Thomas died in 1911 from a Enlarged Instate Gland. (Prostrate)
