The Carleton Place Vikings, led by owner and player Ray Daly, was a senior team in Carleton PlaceOntario. They played their inaugural season in the Ottawa District Senior A Hockey League in 1975-76. Others players included now Hockey Hall of Fame member,Pat Burns, along with Paul Denomme, George Pirie, Terry O’Neil.

The following season the team relocated to Ottawa, becoming the Ottawa Cougars, and continuing their play against such elite Senior A teams as the Embrun Panthers, Gatineau Nordiques, and Potsdam Pioneers.
