Sunday I received a note from Clayton historian Rose Mary Sarfield–Linda can you post in the tales of Almonte, and ask if anyone has a photo of Dr. Metcalf from Almonte? I have been sent a photo that may be him, but I would like to see one that is positively identified as him, to compare. Thank you!!
Well look what Rose Mary came up with!
A gentleman in Victoria BC sent it to me. The man who sent it is Doug McLean who is a descendant of the Blairs from Clayton. He wondered if it was someone from Clayton or if it was Dr. Metcalfe. It is no one from Clayton that I know, but I had only seen the photo that Sandy France posted with the hat on…But when I read your article of the red toupee that pretty well clinched it, because the hair colour is certainly unique! Sandy France Dr. Metcalfe, first row, third from left, hatless…from the Michael Dunn collection
Thanks to Sandy France
