Sept 8, 2016 –  Stop by the Lanark County Genealogical Society booth at the 6th Annual NORTH LANARK SENIORS’ EXPO from noon to 6pm at the Almonte Community Centre, 182 Bridge Street Almonte, ON

 

Sept. 10, 2016 – MONTHLY GATHERING in the Foss Room, Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum, 267 Edmund St. Carleton Place ON @ 1:30pm – no guest speaker – Brief meeting with the opportunity to visit the museum after casting your ballot – ratification of Lanark Archives motions

 

Sept. 11, 2016 – Visit the Lanark County Genealogical Society booth at the LANARK COUNTY HARVEST FESTIVAL 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in beautiful Beckwith Park located at 1319 9th Line Beckwith (R.R.#2) Carleton Place, ON.  FREE ADMISSIONand join us at the Harvest Church Supper $12  from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Recreation Complex on site

Oct. 1, 2016  – Join us as we CELEBRATE OUR 35^TH YEAR 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. in the Beckwith Township Municipal Office Complex 1702 9th Line Beckwith, RR 2 Carleton Place ON K7C 3P2

BBQ family fun event featuring Lanark County local authors: Arlene Stafford-Wilson will speak on her new book “Lanark County Classics: A Treasury of Tales from Another Time”, and Linda Seccaspina will speak on “Lanark County Away Back When?”.

LCGS is donating a historical artifact to the Beckwith Heritage Committee.

Nov. 5, 2016 – MONTHLY GATHERING in the Beckwith Township Municipal Office Complex 1702 9th Line Beckwith, RR 2 Carleton Place ON K7C 3P2 @ 1:30pm – Speaker: Blake Seward speaks on the research he has been doing with his pupils from Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute on Canadian soldiers who died during WWI.
