Dad’s Restaurant Where the Eatin’ was Good!

Yesterday Dave Kliebor posted this photo of a shirt from Dad’s Restaurant on The Tales of Carleton Place. If you don’t remember where it was it was Highway #7, where the Magpie’s second hand treasures is now located, beside the old Balderson Cheese Store.

Last week I found this ad in the Carleton Place Canadian files from the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum.

This very short piece of film is rough footage shot in the ’30s and features the inside of a ice cream parlor / soda shop somewhere in Vancouver, British Columbia. The audio track is missing, if there ever was one
