Let’s Get Ready to Rumble – Mary Cook and Linda Seccaspina– Saturday May 2

Lanark County Storytelling Fans

Are you ready?

Are you ready?

Who is coming to the main event?

Who is coming to Read’s Book Shop & Coffee Bar on May 2nd in Carleton Place?

On the 2nd of May we are going to going to witness the anticipated event of two storytellers from Carleton Place. The champion of the world naturally is Ottawa Valley’s most beloved storyteller and best-selling author Mary Cook who will be at Read’s from 1 pm-2:30pm.  As all Mary’s fans know, Mary believes that the connections we have with family and those we love are all-important, and her stories highlight that no matter how hard things get, family, neighbours and friends are what make life worthwhile.

The novice contender is author and columnist Linda Seccaspina. Seccaspina has published five books and drives everyone nuts with her Facebook group “The Tales of Carleton Place”. She has been called the most stubborn woman in Lanark County  and “Tilting the Kilt” Is not only her latest book about Carleton Place, but some whisper she is pretty tilted in her own personal views:)

Listen to her go on and on from 2:30-4:00 pm. Her books will also be available for sale.

For the 1000’s that will be in the attendance (okay we are storytellers) and the millions watching around the world on pay per view (again, really pushing it)
