Milano Pizza Comes to the Rescue! Carleton Place Power Outage 2015

This is Sam. Most of you know him as “the pizza guy” from Milano Pizza in Carleton Place, Ontario. I, along with many others, want to send out a great big thank you to Robert and Sam who run the Bridge Street establishment. All day Saturday during that 10 hour power outage these guys helped the public of Carleton Place as much as they could.

As Sam told me, they were running the place on batteries, but the pizza never stopped cooking, and the gas kept on running. That gas warmed up water for those who wanted tea, and for the mothers who needed baby formula heated. As a father of three, Sam was concerned about the families of Carleton Place. He and Robert did everything they could to make life easier for everyone.

There is no doubt in my mind that they are not only professionals, and provide service with a smile, but they have a heart bigger than their extra large pizzas.

Tip of the hat to Robert and Sam!

By the way I have heard rumours that the Tater Tot Poutine is to die for 🙂

      • well they were open and making pizzas, I went in only after driving by and noticing they were open. because I was cold they let me stand by the oven to keep warm. They did not have means to make coffee to go, but they made coffee for me and put it in small gravy take out containers so I could bring hot coffee home for my husband and myself with no charge for the coffee. Very pleasant staff for such a small establishment. Could not do enough for the people who did stop in.
